Op Terp Hoogte – Exhibition september 2021

Op Terp Hoogte is an investigative project on the development of the cultural landscape in the Northern part of The Netherlands. Through an historic reflection on the obsolete Terpen landscape, new paradigms are developed on the functional and aesthetic aspects of future man made structures. The research forms the base for a symposium, exhibition and publication that is planned for September 2021.

The exhibition is set on the iconic terp of Ezinge, Groningen. A rigid path structure mediates between man, water and land. Throughout the exhibition, the artificial tides on site influences dynamically the accessibility and stability of the intervention. The interaction between nature and man, the element of time and the morphological forces make up the central topics of the project.
